The success of our agility events depends upon developing a common shared purpose and earning the trust of our participants and our community partners. News 14 Carolina coverage of Horsepower fundraiser	Thanks from Carolina Border Collie Rescue	A Tradition of Charitable Teamwork In 2005, as a response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, and in conjunction with Asheville Kennel Club, our members organized a match raising over $2000 to benefit the animal relief efforts of LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Over the years, our members have worked with community partners to raise over ten thousand dollars for charities like Paws With A Cause service dog training, the Humane Alliance Spay and Neuter Program, and the Spartanburg Humane Society. In 2009, we partnered with BB&T to raise over $4000 for Horsepower’s Therapeutic Riding Program. In 2010, our members and participants helped us raise over $2000 for Carolina Border Collie Rescue.			Teamwork Begins With Our Participants & Community Partners While charitable fundraising efforts can help build a sense of common shared purpose, first and foremost, this teamwork begins by attending to the needs of our participants and community partners. We work together to make sure we are responsible guests at all of our event facilities.
